I have tried Lulu, Tripmode, Radio Silence and Little Snitch. Settled down with Little snitch. Here is my experience with these tools -
Lulu - Opensource and good. But i had some kernel panic issues once i removed Lulu it worked fine. Mine might be an isolated case. Not sure. Tripmode - I used this when i travel or use my phone to tether. I will disable all apps except browser / mail. This works for this use case. One challenge i had was that if any app uses local loopback traffic then trip mode had issues with it. The dev team said they were working on a fix. Not sure it has been fixed now. Radio Silence - Basic. Nothing what other apps can't do. Little snitch - This one is golden so far. It just works. |
